Personal and Career Development (PCD)

12-Week College Certificate Program The Personal Career Development (PCD) program is designed to help adults of all ages develop confidence, interpersonal skills, and an individual career/educational path using experiential learning and discussion.

Personal/Career Development is designed to help adults of all ages develop more confidence and interpersonal skills through experiential learning and discussion.

Highlights of the program include:

  • Establishing personal, educational and employment goals
  • Identification of strengths and limitations
  • Development and recognition of skills, knowledge and attitudes that provide success in the workplace and other areas of daily living

There are 4 components:

  • Personal Development
  • Career Planning
  • 2 Week Work Placement
  • Academic Upgrading

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the Personal/Career Development Program, individuals will have determined realistic personal and education/career goals, demonstrated effective job search techniques, and become familiar with the Academic Upgrading Program. A certificate of Achievement from the Registrar's office will be awarded on successful completion of the program.
