Retirement Celebration

Earlier this week, the Confederation College and Thunder Bay community celebrated the legacy of past President Jim Madder and congratulated him on his retirement with a reception in the new Technology, Education and Collaboration Hub.

Guests enjoyed gourmet food stations featuring creations by our Culinary Management students arranged throughout the venue. As a parting gift, on behalf of himself and his wife Kim, Jim presented President Kathleen Lynch with a painting from Indigenous artist, Goyce Kakegamic.

As per Jim’s wishes, proceeds from this event will support the TEC Campaign. In lieu of gifts, donations can also be made to the campaign.

Inspiring innovation through technology, education and collaboration, the TEC Campaign is designed to provide students of our new TEC Hub with leading-edge equipment and enhanced learning capacity.

Watch the video below to see farewell messages shared with Jim from Confederation College employees and members of the community.

A full album of photos from the event is viewable on the Confederation College Facebook page.
