How You Can Support Confederation College
As a registered charity, Confederation College Foundation benefits from all levels of giving. Under the Income Tax Act, a donor can be an individual or a corporation. An individual can claim a tax credit for the eligible amount of gifts; a corporation can deduct the eligible amount of gifts from its taxable income.
Gifts of every size will make a big impact over time!
Now Gifts
Your donations begin to work immediately !
Donations are used for the current capital campaign, or may be directed to an area of your choice:
- A one-time financial gift as Cash / Cheque / Visa / MasterCard / Electronic Fund Transfer; or,
- A pledge paid in installments that are convenient for you;
- "In Memoriam" remembrance of a departed loved one or friend;
- Gifts of equipment and other in-kind giving;
- Potential Matching Gift Challenges (Employers match the amount of their employee donations for a given period.)
Future Gifts
Endow your contribution through a personal legacy
Bequests can be from a range of Planned Giving options, which can lower your estate taxes, yet stay within your control during your lifetime.
A financial investment professional, accountant or lawyer can explain the details of future gifts, such as:
- Assets of life insurance, mutual funds, securities, retirement plans, property
- Will bequests of a specific amount, percentage, or residual of estate
