Media Arts - Broadcasting - Television Production

2-year, Ontario College Diploma Program

Broadcasting - Television Production

Some people watch television... Some people make television. If you want to be one of those who makes television programming and advertising happen, then this is the program for you.

Broadcasting Television Production

Program Code: 0148

It is high energy, demanding, and creative. If you are interested in 'lights, camera, action'... if you have script ideas that are just waiting to be produced... or if you have a passion for 'getting the story and the facts', then take a closer look at a career in Broadcasting. You must be creative, motivated, a good communicator, resourceful, a team player, have technical and production interest and a sense of humour.

You will train for entry level positions as studio and location camera operators, video editors, news reporters and announcers, script writers, production assistants, television technical operations personnel or for related careers in television sales, marketing & promotion, advertising or corporate communication.

Join a winning team... set yourself on a path to a successful career in Television broadcasting and production. Come and study with us in our exciting, new, fully digital facilities, built in the summer of 2006 as part of CAMP (Center of Applied Media Production)!

2 diplomas over 3 years

Graduating Broadcasting Television students, have the option of earning a 2nd diploma in Film Production by attending College for one additional year. Through a recognition of the synergies and common essential employability skills between the two disciplines we are able to secure a minimum of 2 seats for Broadcasting graduates in the 2nd year of the Film Production program. This opportunity is a result of a collaborative partnership and is customized based on a review with the successful Broadcasting students.
