Graduates of the Aviation Technician - Aircraft Maintenance Program can expect to find work as an Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice upon graduation. Due to the rapid growth of the industry, and the retirement of many Aircraft Maintenance personnel of late, there are a vast range of companies hiring, and the employment numbers for our graduates reflect that. Virtually all of our graduates from the past few years are employed in the industry!
Upon completion of your apprenticeship and Transport Canada exam, you can expect to find full time careers as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. These positions are both demanding and rewarding, with the safety of aircraft and its passengers resting in your hands. Wages for AME's are high, and the satisfaction of seeing an aircraft you fixed take to the sky's is unsurpassed.
The skills and knowledge you acquire from this program also make you employable in many other areas of aviation and technology.
Graduates employment paths include:
Airlines/operators: Air Canada, Jazz, West-Jet, Great Slave Helicopters, Voyageur Airways, Bearskin Airlines, Waysaya Airways, Provincial Helicopters
Manufacturers: Bombardier, Diamond Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney
Military: Canadian Armed Forces
Aviation training: Ministry of Transportation, Confederation College
Repair and overhaul: IMP Group, Airborne Energy Solutions, Standard Aero
