Our first round of “Offers of Admission” are mailed out shortly after the initial February 1st deadline, so keep a close eye on your mailbox! If you missed applying before February 1st, don’t worry, there are still many programs that will still be accepting applications. Check out our Program Status Page for current program status.

Application Details for High School Students
If you are applying from an Ontario high school we encourage you to work with your Guidance Office to complete your application. This ensures that your Ontario Education Number (OEN) is provided on any high school transcripts and that your high school transcripts are sent electronically along with your application.
Application Details for Mature Students
Applicants 19 years of age or older (on or before a program begins) and who do not possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or its equivalent, may be eligible for admission. Applicants who meet the age requirement can apply for direct entry into the 1-year College Access certificate program, the 1-year General Arts and Science certificate program or the 2-year General Arts and Science diploma program.
Mature applicants will have demonstrated the required competence level:
- on our Mature Student Assessment; or
- as a graduate of an accredited post-secondary institution; or
- through successful completion of the recommended courses in our Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) program.
Mature student applicants must meet any specific entrance requirements of the program to which they are applying. Please refer to the individual program descriptions for additional admission requirements including specific additional courses required in the math or science areas.
Applicants can schedule a time to write our Mature Student Assessment (MSA) by calling our Testing Centre at (807) 475-6476. Testing dates are scheduled for every 2nd Thursday; however, the Testing Centre may be able to accommodate requests for individual test times.
Application Details for Students with College or University Transcripts
If you have previously attended a college or university, be sure to provide these academic transcripts to us. Please request your Ontario post-secondary transcript online with ontariocolleges.ca or arrange for these to be mailed directly to your college choice(s). The Ontario Colleges Application Centre does not accept hard copy Ontario post-secondary transcripts.
Application Details for International Students
All applicants to Confederation College who have completed education outside of Canada must have documents/credentials assessed to meet Canadian educational standards. We require a complete course-by-course assessment of your high school and post-secondary transcripts. The applicant will need to send official copies of their documents to one of the assessment agencies listed below. Please be advised these assessments can take some time to come back.
